  • 2023 Native American Natural Resource Research Scholarship

    ITC in partnership with the USDA Forest Service Research and Development is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for Native American graduate students who are planning or currently conducting tribally relevant research in a natural resource issue. The 2023 deadline has passed. Please check back in the fall for the 2024 deadline.

  • 2024 Truman D. Picard Scholarship

    Sponsored by the Intertribal Timber Council. Dedicated to the support of Native American students pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources. The 2024 deadline has passed. Please check back in the fall for the 2025 deadline.

  • TREES provides coordination and management of Pathways internships and professional development opportunities for Native American students for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in both forestry and wildland fire participation. This partnership allows Native American students to get real world training, federal experience, as well as $5,000 in annual tuition assistance. Visit their website for more information.

INTERNSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

  • The Center for Native Peoples and the Environment is recruiting students for graduate study in diverse environmental science fields, including ecology, sustainability, conservation biology, restoration, environmental engineering, and more. Through support from the Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership, the program provides funding for full tuition, stipends, and professional development to Native American students pursuing MS, MPS, and PhD degrees.
